Yay, its that time of the week again, its Friday & I have 2 days off work.. has been a very long week this week as I was off with a virus all of the last! Mended now though, well except for the Walrus that keeps following me around (my cough).

Had some excellent news about the RTW ticket.. I had asked if I could use 2 of the internal flights in SthAm to go to Easter Island & had been told NO, but, it turns out that I can. I'm so stoked at that & will definately be taking a trip to see those fabulous stone Moai now.

Anyway must go as I have to go over to Newmarket to see if I can pick up some contact lenses for the weekend... I lost my glasses last weekend #%$* it! (yeah yeah Salli I know). Wasn't budgeting a new pair before the trip as I had already had some sunglasses made.. but bugger it, seeing as I only need them for distance, driving is a bit of a mare at the moment especially when its night & raining:-(

Well, that's certainly the best thing about today.. its Friday! Have had one of those days where I'd just like to leave and go straight to the airport. Another week down though, last weekends quiet one didn't really happen, Fri night I got mixed up with some Lions supporters a party bus & got home about 7am.. Ho Hum! Maybe I'll have better luck this weekend (or maybe not..)

However, I have made progress on the trip, the real one not just the sojourn to Nelson to do some research on the new vineyards in the area.. got some options back from Siobhan on the flights. And she has me thinking that this is the option I will take:

I don't think I was really planning all those continents when I started.. not sure what happened there!!! But apparently this will work out to be the best/cheapest option, because once you add Sth America into the mix it becomes a very expensive trip. Hmmm me thinks its going to be an expensive trip anyway now that it has grown... it was just meant to be Sth America & maybe a stop-over in Asia somewhere on the way home - Hehe

So now I have a lot more thinking to do, how to use all those internal flights to advantage:-) & what its going to cost me to do it - aaagghh

I really need to get my act together and organise this trip to South America that I am intending to take in September. Have been hitting the clubs a bit too much lately & must get back on track.... but it's been such fun, being single again is great..

However, I have booked a wee trip to Nelson today, its overseas.. the South Island! Its in a months time to visit my best friend, who will give me a bit of a rark up anyway for getting sidetracked, and encourage me no end to go for it. And seeing as I need to see her before I go, its a good start - well thats my theory & I'm sticking to it, so there. Its got nothing to do with the fact that we haven't had a damn good Sauvignon Blanc session in way too long!!! Mmmm perhaps a couple of Long Island Ice Tea's will be in order too, celebrating the trip & all, YAY!

I have also emailed my travel agent, who is the wife of a good friend, we had lunch a couple of months ago where we discussed my plans, she has been to SthAm already which is great. So have asked for options on a rtw ticket, flying from Auckland to LA for the first leg & getting a flight from there or NY to Quito. So I am looking forward to getting a response in a couple of days.

So I thought if I started my blog as well, it would all start coming together.. its a plan stan
